CUBO Ice Collection
CS-IM180 180kg Commercial Ice Maker
Solid square ice, 128kg of storage and practical everyday operation for hospitality venues with substantial ice requirements.
The CUBO CS-IM180 offers an affordable ice-making solution for restaurants, bars, hotels and catering facilities with greater daily ice requirements. With production of up to 180kg per 24 hours and 128kg of internal storage, it combines substantial production capacity with a large ice reserve.
This model produces solid square cubes measuring approximately 22 × 22 × 22mm. These typically melt more slowly than hollow bullet ice, helping keep drinks cold for longer. Its 304 brushed stainless steel construction, digital controls and solid insulated door provide a practical format for everyday use.
Longer-lasting solid ice — with a little preparation
Solid square cubes typically melt more slowly than hollow bullet ice. Melting time varies with cube size, starting temperature and serving conditions.
The trade-off is how the ice forms. Cubes are produced together in a grid-shaped mould and drop into the storage bin in batches. They may remain joined together, sometimes forming a bar or sheet of ice.
You may need to separate the cubes using the supplied ice scoop before serving. This is a normal characteristic of this style of ice production. If your service requires loose, individually separated cubes straight from the machine, please consider this before ordering.
Key Features
- Solid Square Ice: Approximately 22 × 22 × 22mm cubes that typically melt more slowly than hollow bullet ice. Cubes may need separating after release.
- Up to 180kg Daily Production: Stated maximum output over 24 hours. Actual production varies with room temperature, incoming water temperature, ventilation and maintenance.
- 128kg Internal Storage: Provides space to build an ice reserve ahead of service. Storage capacity is separate from daily production capacity, and replenishing the reserve takes time.
- Upright Cabinet: Measures 560 × 820 × 1485mm. Plan a dedicated installation space with room for ventilation, connections and access.
- 304 Stainless Steel: Brushed stainless steel construction for a clean, professional appearance.
- Digital Controls: Includes an automatic cleaning mode to assist with routine care.
- Included Accessories: Supplied with an ice scoop, installation kit and adjustable feet.
Plan for Your Busiest Service
A daily output of up to 180kg does not mean 180kg is available at once. The bin holds up to 128kg, and ice is produced in batches. Allow time to build your reserve before service and consider peak demand, operating conditions and the time needed to separate joined cubes.
Suitable Applications
The CS-IM180 is an option for venues whose ice requirements match its production and storage capacity, including:
- Restaurants, bars and drinks service areas
- Hotels and hospitality facilities
- Banquet halls and event venues
- Catering facilities and commercial kitchens
For services requiring large quantities during short periods, assess peak demand and the time needed to replenish your ice supply before selecting a machine.

Installation and Care
The machine requires a mains water supply and suitable gravity drainage. Water must be able to flow away freely by gravity. Check the available connections and drain arrangement before ordering.
We recommend installation and setup by a qualified refrigeration engineer. Provide the ventilation clearances specified in the installation instructions, keep ventilation openings unobstructed and allow sufficient access for operation, cleaning and maintenance.
Plan for the full cabinet dimensions: the machine measures 560 × 820 × 1485mm. Check both the intended installation space and the delivery route before ordering.
Regular cleaning and descaling are required. The automatic cleaning mode assists with routine maintenance; it does not replace the cleaning and descaling procedures described in the manual. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance on water quality and any water treatment requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the benefit of solid square ice?
Solid square cubes typically melt more slowly than hollow bullet ice, helping keep drinks cold for longer. The exact melting time depends on cube size, starting temperature and serving conditions.
Does the ice come out as separate cubes?
Not always. The cubes form together in a grid-shaped mould and may drop into the bin joined as a bar or sheet. You may need to separate them using the supplied ice scoop before serving. This is a normal characteristic of this style of ice production.
Is the CS-IM180 a bullet or hollow-cube ice maker?
No. This model produces solid square ice. CUBO bullet/hollow-cube models have product codes ending in “B”.
Will it produce 180kg every day?
The stated capacity is up to 180kg per 24 hours. Actual output varies with operating conditions, including room and incoming water temperatures, ventilation and maintenance.
How much ice can it hold at once?
The internal storage capacity is 128kg. The 180kg figure refers to production over 24 hours, not storage capacity. Allow sufficient production time to build your reserve before service.
Can I simply plug it in and add water?
This model requires a mains water connection and suitable gravity drainage, as well as an electrical supply. We recommend professional installation and setup.
Is this an under-counter model?
No. The CS-IM180 is an upright machine measuring 560 × 820 × 1485mm (W × D × H). Plan a dedicated installation space with the required ventilation clearance, connections and access.
Does the automatic cleaning mode handle all maintenance?
No. Regular cleaning and descaling are still required in accordance with the machine’s instructions.
Is the CS-IM180 Right for You?
Longer-lasting cubes, with separation before serving when needed.
The CS-IM180 offers affordable solid-cube production with up to 180kg daily output and 128kg of storage, for users comfortable with separating joined cubes before use. Consider your preferred ice shape, peak demand, replenishment time and available installation space when choosing from the CUBO Ice Collection.
Please note: production figures are stated maximums and actual output varies with operating conditions. Cube dimensions are approximate. Melting time depends on ice size, starting temperature and serving conditions. Joined cubes are a characteristic of the grid-style production process. Install, operate and maintain the machine in accordance with the supplied instructions.
