CUBO Ice Collection
CS-IM80 80kg Under Counter Ice Maker
Solid square ice, 30kg of storage and practical everyday operation for hospitality venues with greater ice requirements.
The CUBO CS-IM80 offers an affordable ice-making solution for bars, restaurants, hotels and food preparation areas. With production of up to 80kg per 24 hours and 30kg of internal storage, it combines substantial daily production and storage in one unit.
This model produces solid square cubes measuring approximately 22 × 22 × 22mm. These typically melt more slowly than hollow bullet ice, helping keep drinks cold for longer. Its 304 brushed stainless steel construction, digital controls and solid insulated door provide a practical format for everyday use.
Longer-lasting solid ice — with a little preparation
Solid square cubes typically melt more slowly than hollow bullet ice. Melting time varies with cube size, starting temperature and serving conditions.
The trade-off is how the ice forms. Cubes are produced together in a grid-shaped mould and drop into the storage bin in batches. They may remain joined together, sometimes forming a bar or sheet of ice.
You may need to separate the cubes using the supplied ice scoop before serving. This is a normal characteristic of this style of ice production. If your service requires loose, individually separated cubes straight from the machine, please consider this before ordering.
Key Features
- Solid Square Ice: Approximately 22 × 22 × 22mm cubes that typically melt more slowly than hollow bullet ice. Cubes may need separating after release.
- Up to 80kg Daily Production: Stated maximum output over 24 hours. Actual production varies with room temperature, incoming water temperature, ventilation and maintenance.
- 30kg Internal Storage: Holds ice between production and serving. Storage capacity is separate from the machine’s daily production capacity.
- Practical Cabinet Format: Measures 500 × 615 × 885mm. Check counter height carefully and allow additional space for ventilation, connections and access.
- 304 Stainless Steel: Brushed stainless steel construction for a clean, professional appearance.
- Digital Controls: Includes an automatic cleaning mode to assist with routine care.
- Included Accessories: Supplied with an ice scoop, installation kit and adjustable feet.
Plan for Your Busiest Service
A daily output of up to 80kg does not mean 80kg is available at once. The bin holds up to 30kg, and ice is produced in batches. Consider peak demand, operating conditions and the time needed to separate joined cubes when choosing your machine.
Suitable Applications
The CS-IM80 is an option for venues whose ice requirements match its production and storage capacity, including:
- Bars, pubs and restaurants
- Hotel bars and drinks service areas
- Event venues and banqueting operations
- Commercial kitchens and back-of-house preparation areas
For events, nightclubs or other services requiring large quantities during short periods, assess peak demand carefully before selecting a machine.

Installation and Care
The machine requires a mains water supply and suitable gravity drainage. Water must be able to flow away freely by gravity. Check the available connections and drain arrangement before ordering.
We recommend installation and setup by a qualified refrigeration engineer. Allow at least 10cm clearance at the sides, front and back, keep ventilation openings unobstructed and follow the installation instructions.
Check the available counter height carefully: the stated cabinet height is 885mm. Your installation space must accommodate the machine, the required ventilation clearances, connections and access.
Regular cleaning and descaling are required. The automatic cleaning mode assists with routine maintenance; it does not replace the cleaning and descaling procedures described in the manual. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance on water quality and any water treatment requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the benefit of solid square ice?
Solid square cubes typically melt more slowly than hollow bullet ice, helping keep drinks cold for longer. The exact melting time depends on cube size, starting temperature and serving conditions.
Does the ice come out as separate cubes?
Not always. The cubes form together in a grid-shaped mould and may drop into the bin joined as a bar or sheet. You may need to separate them using the supplied ice scoop before serving. This is a normal characteristic of this style of ice production.
Is the CS-IM80 a bullet or hollow-cube ice maker?
No. This model produces solid square ice. CUBO bullet/hollow-cube models have product codes ending in “B”.
Will it produce 80kg every day?
The stated capacity is up to 80kg per 24 hours. Actual output varies with operating conditions, including room and incoming water temperatures, ventilation and maintenance.
How much ice can it hold at once?
The internal storage capacity is 30kg. The 80kg figure refers to production over 24 hours, not storage capacity.
Can I simply plug it in and add water?
This model requires a mains water connection and suitable gravity drainage, as well as an electrical supply. We recommend professional installation and setup.
Can it fit beneath my counter?
The cabinet measures 500 × 615 × 885mm (W × D × H). At 885mm high, it will not fit beneath every counter. Measure your available space and allow for ventilation, water and drain connections, and access to the machine.
Does the automatic cleaning mode handle all maintenance?
No. Regular cleaning and descaling are still required in accordance with the machine’s instructions.
Is the CS-IM80 Right for You?
Longer-lasting cubes, with separation before serving when needed.
The CS-IM80 offers affordable solid-cube production with up to 80kg daily output and 30kg of storage, for users comfortable with separating joined cubes before use. Consider your preferred ice shape, peak demand and available installation space when choosing from the CUBO Ice Collection.
Please note: production figures are stated maximums and actual output varies with operating conditions. Cube dimensions are approximate. Melting time depends on ice size, starting temperature and serving conditions. Joined cubes are a characteristic of the grid-style production process. Install, operate and maintain the machine in accordance with the supplied instructions.
