When you need it to be more rigid, you can place the ice cube tray in the plastic holder that comes with it - this not only protects your ice as it freezes to ensure the perfect shape, but it also makes it far easier to carry. Cleaning the silicone tray is equally simple, as it's dishwasher-safe too.
